Belgian luxury beer from the Westvleteren brewery which was founded in 1838. The brewery's three beers have gained an international reputation for taste and quality, yes Westvleteren 12 has several times won the award as “the world's best beer”. Trappist Westvleteren is not brewed for normal commercial requirements, but is sold at the door in small quantities on a weekly basis from the monastery to individual buyers on an advance-order basis, to the lucky ones who manage to get through with an order, as the brewery's small production can not keep up with the high demand.
